Wedding FAQs
Yes, you absolutely can! We are registered for both religious and civil ceremonies.
A registrar, a minister, or a humanist. Just to note - if you decide on a registrar this is arranged through Ards and North Down Borough Council as this is the Borough the Culloden is registered under.
You are welcome to get married at whatever time you wish! We will then tailor your wedding day timeline to suit. Just remember the time of year that you are getting married. If it is a Winter wedding it will get dark around 4pm, so you'll want to leave plenty of time for the all-important photographs! To note - if a registrar is marrying you, the latest time they will host a ceremony is 2pm.
Yes, we are licenced to hold ceremonies on the Holywood Terrace for a maximum of 90 people. Keep in mind that the lovely Northern Irish weather will always have a plan B!
Yes, this is £500.00.
The hotel does not allow you to bring in your own drinks and it does not offer a corkage option. The great news is that we have a wide range of drinks and wines for you to choose from and our wedding specialist can talk you through all the options available!
The time of your dinner service will depend on whether you decide to have speeches before or after dinner. Your wedding specialist will be able to advise you on your timings when you come in for your final details appointment.
Yes, absolutely. Our Executive Chef would be more than happy to help cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free guests. We would ask that you provide us with a list of any special dietary requirements plus the name of the guests at least two weeks prior.
We operate a platinum style service for all of our weddings. Platinum service means that each course will be presented plated to each guest. For example, the main course will be served with the meat/fish/chicken, vegetables, and potatoes on the plate. This style of service means that all meals are served piping hot, all guests at the table are served at the same time and, most importantly, our Executive Chef has control of the presentation
We would recommend around 2 hours for dinner based on a three course meal followed by tea and coffee. If you have extra courses we would allow a further 20 minutes per course.
As soon as dinner and speeches have finished we will ask your guests to retire to the bar area within your suite whilst we rearrange and freshen the tables for your evening reception. Your band or DJ can set up during this time and our team will be on hand to direct them as required.
Our team will have the room ready in around 20 minutes after your guests leave their tables so this will be done in plenty of time before your band or DJ start.
We are licenced until 1.00am for entertainment.
We have lots of options available to you! Our wedding packages include the choice of Chiavari chairs, Louis chairs, or chair covers. Alternatively, you are welcome to upgrade to a statement chair (supplement per person applies for statement chairs).
A pre-payment of £2000.00 is required 12 weeks prior to your wedding. Your wedding specialist will remind you when this is due.
Yes, absolutely. You can make additional payments for your wedding at any time by calling the hotel directly to speak to your wedding specialist.
